Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces cold smoked salmon, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch of salt (optional, taste first)
1 tablespoon capers, drained and chopped (optional)
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
Add the chopped smoked salmon, fresh dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and black pepper to the bowl.
Use a fork or a hand mixer on low speed to combine all ingredients until smooth and creamy. Do not overmix.
Stir in the chopped capers, if using.
Taste the dip and add a small pinch of salt only if necessary, as the salmon is usually salty.
Transfer the smoked salmon dip to a serving bowl.
Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving for best flavor, or serve immediately.
