- 2 shots espresso or 4 oz strong cold brew concentrate
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup or 1 tablespoon cocoa powder mixed with 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener (optional)
- Prepare your coffee: Brew two shots of espresso or measure out four ounces of strong cold brew concentrate.
- If using cocoa powder, mix it thoroughly with one tablespoon of hot water until smooth to create a paste. If using syrup, measure it directly.
- In a tall glass, combine the chocolate mixture (syrup or paste) and the optional sugar or sweetener.
- Pour the prepared coffee or cold brew over the chocolate mixture. Stir briefly to combine the coffee and chocolate base.
- Fill the glass completely with ice cubes.
- Pour the milk over the ice and coffee mixture.
- Stir well until the drink is uniformly cold and the chocolate is fully incorporated throughout the milk.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a dairy-free option, use almond, soy, or oat milk.
- Adjust the amount of chocolate syrup to control the sweetness and chocolate flavor intensity.
- If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, use less milk or increase the amount of espresso.
- To make a quick mocha syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water with cocoa powder until dissolved, then cool before use.
