Make this creamy, cheesy garlic parmesan chicken bake for a flavorful weeknight dinner that requires minimal prep time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, chicken broth, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese until combined. This makes your creamy garlic chicken sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. If using, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top of the chicken and sauce mixture.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving your oven baked chicken breasts.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake, skip the breadcrumbs.
  • This recipe works well for family friendly chicken dinners and reheats nicely for lunch the next day.
  • If your chicken breasts are very thick, you may need to pound them slightly for even cooking.
