Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves fresh garlic, minced finely
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Place the softened butter in a medium bowl.
Add the minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
Use a fork or a rubber spatula to thoroughly mix all ingredients until they are evenly combined and the mixture is uniform in color.
For a log shape, place the butter mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Roll the paper tightly around the butter to form a compact log.
Refrigerate the garlic butter for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up before slicing or serving.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw minced garlic.
To make a spicy version, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes during mixing.
Store the wrapped log in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
