Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces block feta cheese, drained
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended for creaminess)
2 tablespoons olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Garnish: Honey, fresh dill, or chopped pistachios
Instructions
Place the drained feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice into a food processor.
Process the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and airy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed. This usually takes 2 to 3 minutes.
Taste the dip and add black pepper. If you prefer it tangier, add a small squeeze more of lemon juice. Process briefly to combine.
Transfer the whipped feta dip to a shallow serving bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create a swirl or well in the center.
Drizzle the top generously with extra olive oil. If using, drizzle with honey or sprinkle with herbs or nuts.
Serve immediately with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers. This is a fantastic party dip idea.
Notes
For the creamiest texture, make sure your feta cheese is at room temperature before blending.
You can make this dip ahead of time. Store it covered in the refrigerator for up to two days. Let it sit out for 15 minutes before serving for the best texture.
If you do not have a food processor, a high-powered blender will also work, though you may need to add an extra teaspoon of olive oil to help it move.
