Whip up this easy, creamy Dirty Martini Dip for your next party. It captures the bold, briny flavor of the classic cocktail using blue cheese and olive brine, and you do not need to turn on the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled, divided
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup green olives, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup olive brine (from the olive jar)
  • 2 ounces gin (optional, for authentic flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Diced green olives and a drizzle of olive oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese, half of the blue cheese, sour cream, chopped olives, olive brine, optional gin, and garlic powder into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Make sure you scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Taste the dip and add salt and pepper as needed. Remember that the olives and brine add saltiness.
  4. Transfer the dip to your serving bowl.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining blue cheese crumbles over the top of the dip.
  6. Garnish with the reserved diced olives and a light drizzle of olive oil.
  7. Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend. This is a great make ahead appetizer.
  8. Serve your **briny olive appetizer** with crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • If you skip the gin, you still get the classic martini flavor from the brine, making this a great alcohol-free option.
  • For an extra savory snack for game day, you can fold in 2 ounces of cream cheese spread mixed with herbs.
  • This dip is excellent served cold, making it a perfect make ahead appetizer for holiday entertaining.
