Ingredients
Scale
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten egg in a second dish, and the panko breadcrumbs in a third dish.
Dredge each pork chop first in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip it completely in the egg, letting excess drip off. Finally, press the chop firmly into the panko breadcrumbs to coat both sides thoroughly.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the breaded pork chops in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the pork chops and air fry for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Total cooking time depends on thickness.
While the chops finish cooking, prepare the garlic butter. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
Once the pork chops are cooked, immediately brush or spoon the warm garlic butter mixture over the top of each chop before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, lightly spray the breaded chops with cooking spray just before placing them in the air fryer.
If using very thick chops (over 1.25 inches), you may need to reduce the temperature slightly to 370°F (188°C) to cook through without burning the crust.
Use panko breadcrumbs rather than standard breadcrumbs for the best crispy texture.
