Ingredients
Scale
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
1/2 cup Buffalo style hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add the shredded chicken, Buffalo style hot sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing to the bowl. Stir everything together until it is fully combined.
Fold in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Spread the mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese and the blue cheese crumbles (if using) over the top.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes before serving with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.
Notes
You can make this dip ahead of time. Cover the unbaked dip and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.
For a slow cooker version, combine all ingredients except the top cheese layer in a small slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours or high for 1 hour. Stir, top with cheese, and cook until melted.
If you like extra heat, add a dash of cayenne pepper or a few drops of your favorite extra-spicy sauce.
