Make a quick and satisfying smoothie featuring the classic combination of banana and peanut butter. This recipe yields a thick, creamy texture perfect for a fast breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large frozen banana, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon rolled oats (optional, for thickness)
  • 3 ice cubes (optional, if banana is not fully frozen)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, milk, protein powder (if using), and oats (if using) into a high-speed blender.
  2. Add ice cubes if you desire a colder or thicker consistency.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your preferred consistency.
  5. Pour immediately into a glass and serve.

Notes

  • Use a frozen banana for the best, thickest texture without watering down the flavor with too much ice.
  • For a vegan option, use almond, soy, or oat milk.
  • Add a dash of cinnamon or a teaspoon of chia seeds for extra flavor or fiber.
