A simple recipe for a creamy, cheesy, and spicy baked dip perfect for parties and game days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, Buffalo sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese and all of the cheddar cheese into the chicken mixture.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Top the dip evenly with the remaining half of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
  7. If desired, broil for the last 1 to 2 minutes to brown the top slightly, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
  9. Serve hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use blue cheese dressing instead of ranch.
  • You can prepare the mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before baking. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.
  • If you prefer a spicier dip, add a dash of cayenne pepper or a small amount of hot sauce to the mixture.
