Make quick, fluffy garlic knots with a crispy exterior using your air fryer. This recipe uses store-bought pizza dough for fast preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound store-bought pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. If using refrigerated dough, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface. Roll or stretch the dough into a rough rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into 12 equal strips.
  4. Take one strip and gently stretch it, then tie it into a simple knot shape. Place the knot on a small plate. Repeat with the remaining strips.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper to make the garlic mixture.
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Work in batches, arranging the knots in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding. You may need to cook in 2 or 3 batches.
  7. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove the cooked batch and immediately brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  9. Return the basket to the air fryer for 1 minute to set the butter, if desired.
  10. Remove the knots and place them on a serving plate. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese. Repeat the process with the remaining knots.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches for even crisping.
  • If the knots stick, lightly spray the basket again before adding the next batch.
  • For a softer knot, reduce the cooking time by 1 minute.
