Ingredients
Scale
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps the crust stick and crisp up.
In a small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Brush the chicken breasts lightly on all sides with olive oil.
Press the Parmesan mixture firmly onto both sides of each chicken breast, creating an even coating.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through the cooking time, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the crust is golden brown and crisp.
Remove from the air fryer and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the coated chicken with cooking spray before the first flip.
Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your chicken breasts; thinner breasts cook faster.
Use fresh grated Parmesan for the best texture and flavor.
